Singer. Actor. Fashion icon. Inventor of an island. Mr Harry Styles can do it all.
In his new music video for his single ‘Adore You’, Styles has invented the Isle of Eroda, a small fishing village shaped like a frown. Matching the shape of the island, the people there constantly frown and live their lives in fear of superstitions. Sounds like a kind of sad place, right? That is until of course the shining star that is Harry Styles arrives, with a grin so bright people find it too bright. People weren’t used to something being so different and hoped it would go away by just ignoring it, obviously making our poor Harry quite sad. That is until he finds his greatest companion, a fish. Yes, I typed that right, a fish. The unlikely pair eventually turn the tone of Eroda around, but I’ll link the video below so you can see what happens to our fish friend (it’s a happy ending don’t you worry).
Harry Styles has always been a favourite of mine, way back to the good old One Direction days. But over the years, Harry’s fashion style has been something that more and more people talk about. Ditching his boyish bandana wearing look, he’s now opted for a rather large trouser and a flamboyant shirt, with a dash of Gucci throughout, and I am most definitely down for it. I think it’s really nice and refreshing to see a man explore with his style and blur the lines between what is seen as being masculine and feminine. Because why does there need to be a separation? Harry experiments with his style and what I like is that he is so unapologetic about his style and when asked about it he usually shrugs it off, because he’s simply wearing what he likes.
So, I’ve concocted a selection of a few of my favourites recent looks.
Alexa, play ‘Watermelon Sugar’.
Like I mentioned previously, it has come apparent Harry is partial to a high waisted flared trouser, and as Graham Norton said, “it’s been a big pant year”. This is the album artwork for ‘Fine Line’, his new album that comes out 13th December, and is funnily enough photographed by Tim Walker, who I have recently discovered and written a previous post about. My two faves collaborating, we love to see it.
Styles for ‘The Guardian Weekend’ shot by Samuel Bradley, styled by Harry Lambert. The rings. The nails. Need I say more?
Another outfit from the same shoot. I love these pictures. The ruffles of the shirt with the smiley face nails and his own smiley face peeking through. Pure happiness and not a care he’s wearing a dress. Because why should dresses be seen only be for girls?
The iconic Met Gala 2018 look. Dressed in custom Gucci with a small dangly pearl earring to complete the look, Styles stunned.
A sheep vest? And still manages to pull it off? This man…
A beautiful bromance between Harry Styles and James Cordon, and a beautiful shimmery pink shirt as well. A fantastic trio.
Harry Styles = a fashion king.
