Juicy Couture and its velour goodness is making a comeback. May be unexpected for some, but I am very happy it’s coming back, and coming back with a bang.
When I think of Juicy my mind instantly goes to Paris Hilton constantly wearing a matching tracksuit and that photo of Britney Spears in the noughties. They’re just being the absolute boujee queens with their tiny dogs and huge sunglasses.
Juicy was thriving with many celebrities wear the matching velour tracksuits but as the years went by, the fashion changed, and a velour tracksuit was no longer desired. However, now it’s back. As always, trends go in full circle and its Juicy Couture’s time to come back around.
Urban Outfitters have released an exclusive collaboration with Juicy Couture and every Instagram baddie is strolling round with juicy written on their bum. Tracksuit bottoms, shorts, bandeaus, hoodies in multiple different colours to give you that Juicy fix.
And I have been one of the many people to be dragged into this velour heaven. I’ve bought a pair of these black velour flared tracksuit bottoms and I am in love. When they arrived, I was so impressed with the quality, the softest velour and I don’t have the fear that I’m going to leave rhinestones all over the place when I walk. However, I’m not going to lie, these were not cheap. A mean £65 for a pair of trackies. I’d expect the quality to be that good and I was happy that my expectations were reached. They’re something I know I’ll keep for years and will forever love.
And it seems like many other people are loving them just as much. The pieces often quickly sell out from the website with people eagerly waiting for a restock. However, some people have turned to Depop in the meantime. I had a little scroll and I was shocked at the prices people were selling them for, and the fact that people were actually buying them. I thought the original price was already a lot, but people were selling them for so much more. The bandeau normally retails for £30, but on Depop they were starting from £35 going all the way up to £70. Well, I mean, business minds making that profit.
My brother may have called me a chav when he saw me wearing my tracksuit bottoms, but I don’t care. Me and my juicy bum will just be flaunting it all over the gaff.
Juicy has made its comeback, and in a big way.
